Portrayed here as the luscious 程蝶衣 in the role of 楊貴妃, one of the most famous pieces amongst the repertoire of Chinese Bejing Opera. Bando Tamasaburo's exquisite and stunning performance of Yokihi: The dance Yokihi is based on the Chinese historical figure Princess Yang Kwei-Fei, who was the beloved concubine of the Tang Dynasty emperor 唐玄宗 Hsuan Tsung (Genso in Japanese).
